I am an artist

I am an artist,and proud.

When I am at an event and asked what I do,I respond artist. This usually creates tension and then frequently a response of “Oh I see”,followed by an awkward  pause.

 

I am left thinking if only they knew.

Being an artist in 2012 brings with it an amazing menu of opportunities.

Along with these opportunities I find myself wearing many hats.

In the world of an artist in the year of 2012,selling on line is a great opportunity. The whole world gets to see your art! How cool is that!

Having said that I have also learned and am learning so much,and I love it all.

From now on when I am asked “what do you do?”

I am  going to respond with the following. Thank you for asking,I am an artist and ceo of RubyBeets,I have 3 etsy stores and one ebay store, I am a photographer,blogger,pinterest pinner,facebook member,SEO expert,buyer,packer,shipper,and tax preparer.
